In early April, due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Mudanjiang and the resulting lockdown measures imposed on Aimin District, the company experienced severe staff shortages across all positions, placing its production under an unprecedented test. Faced with the epidemic, the company’s leadership remained committed to simultaneously controlling the pandemic and maintaining production and operations. Thanks to the tireless efforts of all employees, the company successfully completed its set production targets. A group of exemplary individuals who are dedicated to their jobs, conscientious in their work, and selflessly devoted has emerged.
This lockdown has left only four workers able to report for duty in the heat treatment workshop. As the leader of the heat treatment team, Guo Lingzhong endures both the pain from his own cervical spine issues and the anguish of labor shortages. Faced with production tasks that simply cannot be halted, he bears tremendous work pressure. Every day, he arrives early and leaves late, meticulously planning production schedules. The heat treatment staff, relying neither on others nor on external assistance, demonstrate extraordinary willpower and a selfless work ethic. They’ve worked continuously for over ten days straight, even pushing single-shift operations to twenty-seven hours without complaint or fatigue, ensuring that production targets are met and fully demonstrating their steadfast character—true gold never fears the fire.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, two supervisors in the machining workshop were unable to come to work, leaving the workshop severely understaffed. As a result, all responsibility for organizing production fell squarely on Deputy Minister Bu Junwei. At this critical moment, he rose to the occasion and managed to keep production running smoothly and efficiently. Under his leadership, employees such as Sun Wei and Dou Lian overcame difficulties like transportation disruptions caused by pandemic controls, consistently showing up for work without any absences and voluntarily working overtime to ensure that production targets were met. Comrade Qu Fanggui, an electrician, has an elderly mother at home who requires care. With another electrician placed under lockdown, he put the needs of the company ahead of his own family, bravely stepping up during this critical time. He has been working continuously at the workplace for more than half a month now, providing crucial support to ensure the company’s uninterrupted production.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, the leader responsible for after-sales service was unable to come to work. Comrade Zhang Ming, ever vigorous and full of energy, promptly stepped in to fill the vacancy caused by the lockdown, working tirelessly day after day at the workshop production site to ensure normal operations. To support the heat treatment inspection and measure the depth of the carburized layer in the furnace samples, he went to work at 6 a.m. every morning, enduring all hardships without complaint.
Comrade Liu Hongjun has submitted the company’s application for the third batch of key projects in Heilongjiang Province. During the preparation of materials for the “Little Giant” enterprises, he meticulously searched for the required information, repeatedly checked, revised, and refined the documents, truly striving for perfection. To meet the deadline, he worked until 3 a.m., took a brief rest, and then immediately returned to his post. The materials he organized and prepared successfully passed the initial review for the third batch of key “Little Giant” enterprises in Heilongjiang Province. Comrade Chen Gang made every effort to arrive in Harbin on time to submit the relevant materials; he didn’t even have time to eat along the way, driving back and forth across town that day and completing the submission task flawlessly. The office promptly coordinated with the community to arrange nucleic acid testing at the company’s premises, saving the company’s employees time and effort in traveling outside for testing and enabling them to better support the company’s production. Comrade Sun Hongxin doesn’t get home until late every night. She closely monitors every message in the company’s WeChat work group, promptly finds relevant information, and responds to employees’ questions, providing excellent service and helping them resolve their doubts.
The epidemic is merciless, but people are full of compassion. The raging COVID-19 pandemic has not been able to halt the firm and determined steps of the Xinfangbei team. Faced with difficulties, the Xinfangbei team dares to confront them head-on, acting with selflessness and courage. Everyone unites in mutual support and solidarity, pooling their hearts and efforts into one common goal.
